"The Kindness Book"
Hi Godly Play Friends,
And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
Remember when Ms. Candace was in her kitchen and she taught us about the Fruits of the Spirit? One of those fruits was “kindness”.
Today, we will read “The Kindness Book” by Todd Parr.
After reading the book, consider the following activities:
Draw a heart on a piece of paper. You can make your heart as big as you want. Fold it in half and write “kindness” on the inside of your folded heart. Punch a hole and loop a string or yarn through it. Tie a knot to make a necklace. You can decorate your heart or make more hearts with acts or words of kindness written on them. Add to your necklace.
Come up with 5 kind things you can do this week. remember our book today. Talk to your parents or grandparents. You can do your kind things at home, school or church. Maybe you could also do something kind for someone that only God and you know about.
We hope you find it fun to show kindness. It sure does feel good to make someone else feel your kindness. Pass it on.
Thank you for your support of Godly Play, Love from Ms. Kim, Ms. Candace and Ms. Janet
